Summary: David and Goliath was about how the Philistines were gathering their armies for battle. They gathered in Judah. Saul and the men of Israel were gathered and camped in the valley of Elah. The Israel's stood on one side of a mountain and the Philistines on the other. From the Philistines, their champion Goliath came out. He was six cubits in height. He had a helmet of bronze on his head, and he was armed with a coat of chain mail. He used a javalin and a sword which he kept between his shoulders. Goliath wanted the Israels to choose someone to come and fight him. If the Israel's won then the Philistine's will be servants of the Israel's and vice versa if the Philistine's win. The three oldest sons of Jesse had to go and fight while the youngest son David had to go back and forth from battle and to feeding his father's sheep in Bethlehem. For forty days David went back and forth from battle to tending his father's sheep. David wanted to go and fight against Goliath but everyone thought he was too weak but they let him go anyways. When David went to fight Goliath he brought a sling and a stone and shot at Goliath and hit him right in the forehead and Goliath fell to the ground. After that, David ran and took out Goliath's sword and cut Goliath's head off. When the Philistines had noticed that their champion was dead, they all ran for there lives.
